Vlad Galeev, GMAT, GRE & EA tutor
Originally from a small city in Siberia, Vlad has visited more than 100 countries and won national awards as an academic Olympian in both France and Russia. He earned a GMAT score of 770, and has tutored students in economics, English, and chess, in addition to the GMAT, GRE, and EA.
Vlad’s academic passions have always been astoundingly diverse. As a teenager, he was a star in academic competitions in both France and Russia, earning medals in six different subjects and serving on the French national math Olympiad team. Despite the fact that Vlad had world-class mathematics skills as a young man, he chose to broaden his academic training as an adult, obtaining degrees in humanities and social sciences from Leiden University in The Netherlands and Sciences Po Paris in France.
Vlad fell in love with teaching at an early age. At age 15, he began offering lectures to his classmates on the most challenging problems on the Russian state exam. He then started his private tutoring career at the age of 18, preparing students for national Olympiads in mathematics and economics. One of his students even won the All-Russian Olympiad in economics. Since then, Vlad has tutored students in a wide range of subjects, including the GMAT, GRE, and even a Finnish high school entrance exam.
Vlad’s personal and professional passions are every bit as diverse as his academic interests. Vlad has lived in four countries, worked in strategy consulting, and played poker semi-professionally, in addition to achieving success as a competitive chess player.
Vlad’s greatest personal passion, however, is travel. He has already visited 103 countries, including plenty of lesser-known destinations such as Eswatini, Vanuatu, and Kyrgyzstan. In his spare time, you’ll find Vlad either planning another trip or exploring the Parisian food scene, which never ceases to amaze him.
