Shannon Glenn, Certified Sleep Consultant
Shannon Glenn is a Certified Adult and Pediatric Sleep Consultant, with more than 20 years of experience as a sleep coach. She also holds a degree in Psychology, and focuses on helping clients develop a worry-free mindset around sleep.
Shannon has always been passionate about sleep, for as long as she can remember sleep has been something important to her. She has been working in the field of sleep since 201l after experiencing sleep deprivation herself after the birth of her first child. Shannon witnessed first-hand how debilitating lack of sleep could be, and that experience set her on a journey to help other people both children and adults learn how to sleep as well as they naturally can. Shannon has completed hundreds of hours of coursework in many areas of sleep, and has worked with thousands of families from all over the world.
Shannon’s approach to making healthy sleep changes is to empower her clients to make gradual habit changes around their sleep to promote healthy and natural sleep. Healthy sleep doesn’t just start when your head hits the pillow at night there are things that you can do during your day to encourage your body to sleep well. She also focuses on mindset work. One of her main goals with her clients is for them to not worry or overthink their sleep by the time she finishes working with them. Shannon’s goal is that sleeping is just a part of their daily life like eating and exercise, they make healthy choices around this but it’s not something that they are overly focused on all day long. Believe or not, if you think you are a bad sleeper, chances are you will continue to be a bad sleeper. Its amazing how much our thoughts can influence our body!
When Shannon is not talking about sleep, she can be found trying to coordinate her family’s busy schedule. Shannon lives in Idaho and married and has two children ages 11 and 15 that enjoy an active life with sporting events and friends that keep her and her husband on their toes and make it even more important that she gets her 8 hours of sleep so she can keep up with them.
